LAGOS, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirate (UAE) has 16 companies exhibiting products at the ongoing 24th Lagos International Trade Fair, the News Agency of Nigeria said on Thursday.

The companies are exhibiting products such as gift items, building and construction materials, as well as automobiles.

Adams Kennedy, marketing manager of the Innovations Exhibitions and Coordinator of the UAE pavilion, told reporters on Wednesday that the company had organized exhibitions in various parts of Africa.

Kennedy, a Nigerian based in Dubai, said the UAE companies were at the fair to enable them to develop business relationships in Africa.

He added that his firm had taken the companies to Angola, Tanzania, South Africa, Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia.

Kennedy suggested that future fairs should be properly arranged to avoid crowdedness, saying that only visitors to the fair should be allowed into the venues.

The Nigerian market is huge and has enormous potentials, one of the UAE exhibitors was quoted as saying.
