ISLAMABAD, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- At least eight Pakistani security persons were killed in a roadside bomb attack in Mohmand tribal area Wednesday, local TV channel reported.
The private TV GEO News reported that a convoy of Frontier Corps (FC) the paramilitary troops of Pakistan, were attacked by the roadside bomb blast in northwest Pakistan's Mohmand tribal area. As a result, eight security men were killed and several security vehicles were destroyed.
The FC media cell said that security forces are conducting search operation in the area.
At least 10 militants were killed and several others injured earlier Wednesday in air strike in Mohmand tribal agency.
According to sources, Pakistani security forces gunship helicopters pounded militant hideouts in Bedmanai, Ghanum Shah and Sarakhawa areas in Mohmand tribal agency, killing 10 militants. ¡¡
