KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- Bilateral trade and investment between South Korea and Malaysia can be further improved, a Malaysian official said here on Wednesday.

Malaysian Deputy Information, Communications, Arts and Culture Minister Heng Seai Kie made the remarks at the Korea Chungnam Products Show and Business Meeting held here.

Heng said the strength of South Korea's exports to Malaysia could be seen by the popularity of leading South Korean brands such as Hyundai, LG and Samsung in the country.

She hoped that the private sectors in both countries would make use of trade shows to enhance their business network and strengthen linkages among them for mutual benefit.

She also encouraged the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency to work with its Malaysian counterpart as well as other trade and investment associations to strengthen bilateral ties.
