MACAO, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- One class of a school in Macao has been suspended by the Health Bureau of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) after its students reported mass flu symptoms, the local Jornal Do Cidadao reported Tuesday.

The newspaper quoted a press release of the bureau as saying that the class was suspended Monday after some students were found to have flu symptoms. Officials of the Health Bureau said they would keep a close eye on the flu situation of schools, dormitories and other institutions.

By Monday afternoon, there were still two patients who tested positive for the Influenza A/H1N1 virus receiving medical treatments at local hospitals, and their health conditions remained critical.

According to Conde de Sao Januario Hospital, one of the biggest hospitals in Macao, 63 percent of child patients it received last Sunday had flu symptoms.
