BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Hu Shuli, editor-in-chief of China's leading financial magazine Caijing, has resigned, said Caijing spokeswoman Zhang Lihui on her micro-blogging on Sina.com Monday afternoon.

Hu might accept an invitation to teach at Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou, South China, Zhang said.

The magazine authorities approved Hu's resignation and expressed thanks for her contribution to the magazine.

Resignation request from deputy editor-in-chief Dai Xiaojing was also approved, according to Zhang.

The latest issue of Caijing on Nov. 9 carried Hu's commentary on the country's start-up board for small and medium-sized enterprises to raise capital, or China's Nasdaq.

Hu, 56 years old, had worked as editor-in-chief of Caijing since it was founded in 1998.
