TOKYO, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened lower Monday, as a stronger yen erodes exporters' profits.
In the first 15 minutes of trading, the benchmark Nikkei-225 index lost 41.77 points, or 0.43 percent, from Friday to 9,747.58.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 5.74 points, or 0.66 percent, to 868.27. The Second Section also lost ground.
