CHENGDU, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- The death toll of a bus crash accident in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Friday has risen to seven, as five injured passengers failed medical treatment on Saturday, according to the provincial work safety bureau.

    Another 17 injured passengers were still under medical treatment. One was in critical condition, hospital sources said.

    Two people died on the spot, when a bus carrying 24 people suddenly got off road and plunged 30 meters into a roadside ditch in Fulong Township in Leshan City at noon time Friday.

    The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
