Polina Pavlenko is seen at home with her pet parrot in Moscow, captial of Russia, Oct. 27, 2009.Twelve years old Polina Pavlenko is a second grade student of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography. Students here are all elites selected from all over Russia, so is Polina. The perfect stature is not the only reason made Polina a member of the oldest choreographic educational institutions in Russia. Polina comes from a good stock. Her grandmother is a director and both her parents are stage performers, so her sense on stage was trained by performing in her parents' dramas.Polina grew up in the classic Russia middle-class family. Her room is filled with ballet dolls presented by her cousins, to encourage her to become a true ballet dancer. Her dream is more ambitious, to be a great ballet dancer. She believed in what the teacher told her, as she said, that the most important thing in practising ballet is love and hardship.(Xinhua/Lu Jinbo) Photo Gallery>>> |
