LIBREVILLE, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- "The Sino-African cooperation is a win-win situation. Each party benefits from the cooperation. We are determined to pursue this cooperation," the Gabonese speaker told Xinhua in an interview on Thursday.

Guy Nzouba Ndama, the president of Gabon's National Assembly, made the comments in the capital Libreville after visiting a photo exhibition on the fruits of the 2006 Beijing Summit on the Sino-African cooperation (FOCAC).

The photo show was sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in Gabon ahead of the FOCAC ministerial conference set for Nov. 8-9 in Egypt.

On the upcoming FOCAC conference, Ndama said "this will be another opportunity for the People's Republic of China to show Africa that it is willing to carry on developing political, economic and cultural relations between China and the African countries, and Gabon in particular."

"It’s a cooperation with lots of prospects. We are very proud of this cooperation." he added.

Ndama will depart on Saturday for Egypt to participate in the fourth FOCAC ministerial conference, where he will represent Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba.

The conference "will provide an opportunity for China to come up with new perspectives for her participation in the development of the African continent," the parliament speaker said.

"We remember that on Nov. 4-5, 2006, there was a Summit in Beijing over the Sino-African cooperation, which was an occasion for the Chinese and African leaders to reaffirm together their friendship, to discuss their cooperation and establish a new Sino-African strategic partnership," said the speaker.

"Chinese President Hu Jintao announced, on behalf of the Chinese government, eight measures that would reinforce pragmatic Sino-African cooperation and also support the development of African countries," Ndama said.

"For three years, thanks to the combined efforts of all the parties involved, the eight measures have been implemented to completion, the actions that were taken were very fruitful and theSino-African cooperation is experiencing growth that has never been seen before in all sectors," the speaker noted.
