JAKARTA, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- A search and rescue team on Thursday removed four bodies from the wreckage of a police aircraft which crashed on Mt. Dorman in the Pass Ilu area in Indonesia's Puncak Jaya on Monday, the Jakartapost.com reported.

The Head of Jayapura Search and Rescue Agency, Suyatno, said that the team put the bodies, believed to be pilot Adj. Comm. Yunus, co-pilot Adj. Comm. Benedictus and technicians Brig. Kuswanto and Brig. Syaiful, into four body bags.

Suyatno said that the evacuation of the bodies would depend on the weather. A helicopter is ready at the team's base camp in Dabra, situated close to the site of accident, to fly the bodies to the provincial capital of Jayapura for identification only if the weather was favorable.

"Hopefully the weather will get better to facilitate the evacuation," he said.

On Nov. 11, an aircraft belonged to Indonesia's Papua province regional police was declared lost contact at 1200 local time (0700GMT) during a flight from Sentani Airport of Jayapura to Mulia Airport in Puncak Jaya regency.
