BANGKOK, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- As Thailand is now fully experiencing the winter, Thais should be aware of health and dangers to occur during the winter, Anucha Mokkhavesa, Director General at the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Thailand's Ministry of Interior, has warned Thursday.
Amid the falling temperature, it is risky for the people to get sick and be affected by the dangers, including fire, which can easily occur due to drought in the winter, Thai News Agency quoted Anucha as saying.
Also, the Thai people should be careful of driving during the winter since a road accident could easily happen due to thick fog, which can affect driving ability, he said.
The Thai people, particularly elderly, children, and those with congenital diseases, should always keep their body warm, the Director General has suggested.
Doing exercise, enough rest, and avoiding cool water for taking a shower and hair washing will be crucial to boost immunity, he said.
