Chen joined in a special ten-day summer camp in August of 2009, aiming to reduce weight together with 50 other overweighted children through trainings. As the youngest child, Chen Xiran gives good account of himself by cutting through obstacles, crawling forward, walking on the balance beam... "Melon Boy" loses only 1 kilogram after ten days' trainings, while some others lose six or seven kilograms. However, he receives a prize of "Star of Growth" from the drillmaster.
