KATHMANDU, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- A domestic light aircraft lost control while attempting to take off and crashed into the wall of a small airport in Syangboche of Solukhombhu district in eastern Nepal on Wednesday morning.

    According to nepalnews.com report, there were no reports of human casualties or serious injuries while the aircraft itself suffered only minor damages.

    The Pilatus Porter aircraft belonging to Tara Airlines was to fly the capital Kathmandu with 5 foreign tourists and 2 crew members when it met with an accident in the runway before becoming airborne.

    Eyewitnesses accounts have it that the light aircraft that is mostly used for such high-altitude air travel had lost control while attempting to take off and crashed into the wall of the small airport, some 125 km east of Kathmandu.

    The airport authorities immediately swung into action and managed to bring the passengers and crew members out of the airplane.

    The aircraft itself suffered minor damage in its back end, right wing and tires.

    Although the main reason behind the crash was not immediately known, the airline officials said that it might have occurred due to some technical glitches.
