JAKARTA, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- An explosion killed 4 people in West Java on Wednesday afternoon, local television reported.
According to Metro television, the blast occurred at 18:00 Jakarta time in a house in Perompong village of Lembang district of West Java.
Indonesian police spokesman Sulistyo Ishak confirmed the explosion but could not confirmed whether the blast was caused by a bomb.
"Yes there is an explosion in West Java, we are investigating it," he told Xinhua over phone.
The blast occurred as Indonesian police are pursuing fugitives allegedly being involved in bomb attacks on two luxurious hotels in Jakarta on July 17 that killed nine people.
