One wounded in twin grenade attacks on Afghan police recruitment center

    KABUL, Nov. 4 (Xinhua)-- Taliban militants hurled two hand grenades on a police recruitment center in Nimroz province west of Afghanistan Wednesday morning injuring one person, provincial governor Ghulam Dastgir Azad said.

    "The insurgents threw two hand grenades on police recruitment center in provincial capital Zaranj this morning wounding one police constable," Azad told Xinhua.

    Taliban militants have intensified their activities against the security forces everywhere in the war-torn country.

    Latest violent incident in the militancy-hit country left five British soldiers dead and injured six others in Helmand province south of Afghanistan on Tuesday.
