TEHRAN, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said Tuesday that Tehran would reject any dialogue the result of which is determined by the United States, the official IRNA news agency reported.
"The dialogue that the U.S. determines its result is like a sheep-wolf relation," Khamenei was quoted as saying.
He made the remarks when addressing a group of university students on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the seizure of the U.S. embassy in 1979, the report said.
On April 7, 1980, the United States broke off diplomatic ties with Iran after a group of Iranian students seized the U.S. embassy in Tehran and captured some 60 U.S. diplomats in 1979, with 52 of them being in captivity for 444 days in the hostage crisis.
Iran's envoy to the international nuclear watchdog said Monday Iran is ready to take part in the next round of talks with world powers over the fuel provision for a Tehran research reactor, the official IRNA news agency reported.
Also, Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Monday that Iran would consider the enrichment of high-grade uranium in its own country if the talks with six world powers fail.
Under a UN-brokered nuclear fuel deal, Iran should ship out most of its existing low-grade enriched uranium to Russia for further enrichment and then to France where it would be processed into fuel rods with a purity of 20 percent.
The head of the UN nuclear agency Mohamed El Baradei on Monday urged Iran to give a quick response to the fuel deal proposal.
Iran has sent an oral indication to the IAEA asking for amendment of the draft agreement. The details of the amendment have not been made public yet.
