BUENOS AIRES, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Rosario Central beat Boca Juniors 2-1 Sunday in the 12th round of the Argentine soccer championship.

    Jesus Mendez opened scoring for Central at the 4th minute before Boca equalized through Juan Krupoviesa on 35 minutes.

    Gonzalo Castillejos grabbed the winner for Central in the 74th minute.

    With this victory in "Gigantes de Arroyito" stadium, Central has 20 points, four point adrift leader Velez. Boca totals 18 points.
