PARIS, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- France expressed Friday its demand for a formal response from Iran over nuclear issue in a statement released by the foreign ministry.

"We call on Iran to give a formal and positive response to IAEA without delay," the spokesman Bernard Valero said in the statement.

Iran has sent an oral indication to the International Atomic Energy Agency asking for amendment of the draft agreement, which suggests to transfer Iran's nuclear condensation to other countries, according to the statement.

France was undergoing discussion with other countries of the common concern about the possible feedback from Iran, Valero added.

The draft agreement, presented by the IAEA, suggesting to ship most of Iran's existing low-grade enriched uranium to Russia and France, where it would be processed into fuel rods with a purity of 20 percent.

The higher-level enriched uranium would be transported back to Iran to be used in a research reactor in Tehran for the manufacture of medical radioisotopes.¡¡
