PARIS, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Arianespace agency, headquartered near Paris, announced Wednesday the flagship launcher Ariane 5 is ready for its sixth mission of this year.
After finishing the launch readiness review at the Spaceport in French Guiana, Ariane 5 has been approved to carry two commercial satellite NSS-12 and THOR 6 into space on Thursday.
At the Kourou Space Center of French Guiana, the launcher will be transferred from the Spaceport's Final Assembly Building to the launch zone before the launch window opens from GMT 2000 to GMT 2140 on Oct. 29.
Founded in 1980, the share limited European company Arianespace initiated launch service for satellite operators from private companies and government agencies. With 34 percent holdings, French space agency CNES is the company's biggest shareholder from10 European countries.
