NEW DELHI, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- India Tuesday issued an advisory urging its citizens, particularly the Sikh pilgrims, not to travel to Pakistan in the wake of the deteriorating security sceranio in that country.
"Government of India is of the view that it is not advisable for Indian pilgrims to visit Pakistan in the prevailing situation when frequent terrorist attacks are taking place in Punjab province of Pakistan, where all Gurudwaras (Sikh temples) are situated. All Indian citizens are asked to avoid undertaking any visit to Pakistan for this purpose, till the security situation in Pakistan improves," the advisory issued by the Home Ministry said.
The advisory came following the recent spate of militant attacks that rocked Pakistan.
The Taliban had claimed responsibility for almost all the major recent terror attacks which claimed the lives of some 200 people in that country.
