HANOI, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam confirmed one more death of A/H1N1 influenza, bringing the country's total number of flu deaths to 32, said a report on the website of the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.
The patient is a 21-year-old woman from Vietnamese capital city Hanoi. She was six months pregnant. She had a history of asthma, said the ministry.
The woman was taken to a local hospital on Oct. 17 with fever, coughing and sore throat. She was then transferred to another local general hospital as her health conditions did not improve.
The patient was on Oct. 20 transferred to the National Institute of Infectious and Tropical Diseases. She was treated with Tamiflu drug.
The woman died on Oct. 21 due to pneumonia. Her sample was tested positive with A/H1N1 virus.
Vietnam's total cases of A/H1N1 flu have risen to 10,395 so far, said the ministry.
