Hwang Woo-Suk (C), South Korea's disgraced stem cell scientist, answers questions from reporters after his trial on charges of fabricating data for his research papers at the Seoul Central District Court in Seoul, capital of Korea, on Oct. 26, 2009. A South Korean court on Oct. 26 imposed a suspended prison sentence on Hwang after convicting him of embezzling research funds. The court, which passed a two-year sentence suspended for three years, said Hwang knew that data in his team's scientific papers had been manipulated. It found him not guilty on a separate charge of defrauding private individuals who had contributed funds to his research.
