LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Carrie Prejean, the former Miss California crown holder, found herself in another pitched battle against the pageant organizers over something other than her pronounced objection to gay marriages -- her breast enlargement.

The organizers of the Miss California pageant have launched a countersuit against her, demanding she pay for the surgical procedure, it was reported on Tuesday.

K2 Productions, the franchise that operates the Miss California Organization, is requesting the 5,200 dollars it gave Prejean for her breast augmentation surgery, local television KTLA reported.

They're also seeking to throw out a portion of Prejean's lawsuit, with the portion dealing with public disclosure of private facts in particular.

Prejean, 22, filed a lawsuit at Los Angeles Superior Court against K2 Productions as well as co-executive directors Keith Lewis, Shanna Moakler and publicist Roger Neal on Aug. 31.

She claimed the defendants discriminated against her religious beliefs thereby causing her emotional distress as well as financial loss. She alleged the three joined gossip blogger Perez Hilton to create a "conspiracy to attack" that has caused her to suffer "emotional distress, anxiety, depression and loss of sleep."

She also claims Moakler and Lewis illegally disclosed private medical information when they allegedly leaked details of her breast augmentation surgery to the media.

K2 Productions on its part accuses Prejean of missing events, lying about semi-nude photos, negotiating an unauthorized book deal and using her title without authorization to help promote the National Organization for Marriage's "campaign of intolerance" against gay marriage. It asks for the proceeds from Prejean's planned book, the sum paid for the breast surgery and other relief.

"She attempts to cast herself as a virtuous young woman and the victim in a supposed conspiracy against her," the cross-complaint states.

Prejean has originally landed the crown of Miss California, but was later stripped of the title. She claimed this was because she held a traditional religious belief and was in favor of man-and-woman marriage.

K2 Productions, however, accused her of not fulfilling her obligations and lying of her nude picture. Contestants are required not to have had shot nude pictures.

Real estate tycoon Donald Trump, owner of the Miss California's parent organization, refused to strip Prejean of the title, but he changed his mind a month later. He was not named in Prejean's lawsuit, however.

The controversy drew polarized reaction from the media and the public.
