HANOI, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition on construction, building materials and housing opened in Mekong Delta province Can Tho of Vietnam, local newspaper the People's Army reported on Monday.

    The event on Sunday drew participation of 225 domestic businesses and 21 foreign groups from Germany, Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.

    There are over 400 booths at the exhibition displaying latest models of building materials and equipment, housing, internal and external decoration, architect and urban planning.

    A seminar on new technology and products in civil engineering will also be held at the exhibition.

    The exhibition is scheduled to end on Thursday.
