QINGDAO, East China, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Olympic silver medallist Cai Yun paired up with his national teammate Xu Chen to lift men's doubles badminton title at the 11th Chinese National Games here on Sunday.

    Cai/Xu from Jiangsu overcame Fu Haifeng and Zhu Lihua from Guangdong 21-16, 21-15 in the 39-minute final.

    Cai was also the champion of the last National Games but with another partner Zhang Jun, who is currently a national coach.

    In the national team, Cai teamed up with Fu to win a silver medal at the Beijing Olympic Games. They were also twice world champions in 2006 and 2009.
