JAKARTA, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has allocated 34 ministerial posts, the maximum number permitted under existing law, in his incoming cabinet that would be announced on Oct. 21, the Antara news agency reported here on Friday.
The presidential palace spokesperson Andi Mallarangeng said that President Susilo has been calling candidates eligible to become his ministers since Thursday, adding the he would continue calling the candidates Friday.
"The president and Vice President Boediono will interview the candidates over the weekend," Andi said.
According to Andi, each candidate will be asked to sign working contracts and integrity pacts showing their commitment to meet targets for the first 100 days programs and five years in office.
President Susilo has been considering some 100 minister candidates from professional people and those proposed by political parties, he added.
Andi said that the president has appointed Army's Central Hospital of Gatot Subroto in Central Jakarta to carry out the medical tests over the candidates scheduled to commence on Oct. 18.
