GUANGZHOU, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Miao Miao of Australia qualified for the women's table tennis World Cup by winning the inaugural Intercontinental Cup here on Saturday.
There are four players competing for only one berth in the inaugural Intercontinental Cup, namely Miao, Canada's Zhang Mo, Chile's Rodriguez Berta and Congo's Han Xing.
Miao, who representing Australia in 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games, did not break a sweat to win the three straight games dropping only one set and earned a berth in Group C.
The Chinese-born Australian will play China's Liu Shiwen, Japan's Hirano Sayaka and South Korea's Park Mi Young in the group.
The women's World Cup have attracted 19 players from 13 countries and regions.
