KATHMANDU, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Qiu Guohong are scheduled to jointly inaugurate the China Festival in Nepal beginning from Saturday.
There will be 60 business stalls in the six-day exhibition being held in the Nepal Academy on the occasion of the festival.
The festival will feature Chinese acrobatics, a cultural program, fashion shows, grand photo exhibition, Chinese food show and a film exhibition on Chinese laureate Lu Xun's biography.
An exhibition related to diverse products will also be held to showcase the development and progress of China.
The festival is being celebrated on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the People's Republic of China and organized by the Chinese Cultural Ministry, the province government of Jiangsu and Chinese Embassy of Nepal.
The jointly organized festival aims to be mutually beneficial for both nations.
The organizers believe that the festival celebrations will continue in the upcoming year, with the festival having been celebrated since 2003.
"Experience Jiangsu, embrace Nantong" is the slogan of the festival.
