LOS ANGELES, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Septuagenarian Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor announced Thursday that the procedure to repair a leaking valve "went off perfectly."
"It's like having a brand new ticker," she wrote in her Twitter post.
She expressed her gratitude to her fans for their "prayers and good wishes."
"I know they all helped," she added.
The 77-year-old actress announced on her Twitter page Tuesday that she would be undergoing the procedure, which "involves repairing my leaky valve using a clip device, without open heart surgery, so that my heart will function better."
But she gave no specific time nor did she reveal the name of the hospital where she would receive the procedure.
