ROME, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- Formula One team Ferrari announced on its website on Wednesday that Brazilian Felipe Massa will be back on track next week after a serious injury suffered less than three months ago.
"Early next week, maybe even on Monday, Felipe will finally get back on the track in a real Formula 1 single-seater, a F2007 with Bridgestone tyres used in GP2," said the Italian team.
Massa, who was hit by bouncing debris during qualifying in the Hungarian Grand Prix in July, is recovering from a life-threatening head injury.
He has not driven a Formula One car since the accident but arrived at Ferrari's Maranello factory on Monday to improve his fitness and work in the race simulator.
