    SUEZ, Egypt, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- United Arab Emirates (UAE) stunned Venezuela 2-1 on Wednesday to reach the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

    Forward Jose Rondon scored first in the 12th minute to put Venezuela ahead.

    UAE struggled to equalize ten minutes later when defender Mohamed Ahmed goaled to end the first halftime 1-1.

    The UAE team did not seal the victory until Ahmed Khalil kickedin with only seven minutes remaining on the clock.

    UAE is due to face Costa Rica in quarterfinals.
