BEIJING, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Thursday military parade in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) has become the most popular television program to Beijing commuters in recent days.
Beijing Mobile TV Co., a company of Beijing All Media and Culture Group, said Saturday that more than one million commuters in Beijing watched the massive military parade on Thursday, the 14th one since the PRC was founded in 1949.
Many commuters enjoyed the re-broadcasting of the military parade on Friday and Saturday. Some bus passengers even forgot to get off at their intended stops because of being absorbed in watching the program, said Beijing Mobile TV Co.
A Beijing local commuter surnamed Yang said Saturday that he watched the military parade on Thursday at home and enjoyed its re-broadcasting whenever possible on buses these days.
"The exciting feeling of watching the military parade is beyond words," he said.
The television programs of Beijing Mobile TV Co. have covered more than 12,000 buses and 5,000 taxis in the capital city.
