PYONGYANG, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) began re-operation in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Wednesday, said the official KCNA news agency.
A reopening ceremony was held in the day, according to a brief dispatch from the KCNA.
The UNDP began its operations in the DPRK in 1981 with programs on culture, human resources and economic reforms. It suspended its work and withdrew its staff from the DPRK in March 2007.
