BEIJING, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- China's leading color television sets producer, Skyworth Digital Holdings, would put an end to the production of cathode ray tube (CRT) televisions by the end of next year, reported Saturday's China Daily.
The Guangdong-based firm attributed the decision to shrinking market demand for CRT televisions.
The household electric appliances manufacturer would gradually convert its existing CRT production lines into liquid crystal display (LCD) production lines, said Zhang Xuebin, the firm's chief executive officer.
