BEIJING, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- China is firmly opposed the proliferation of nuclear weapons in whatever forms, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Jiang Yu said here Tuesday.

    Jiang was speaking at a regular press conference, as she responded to a question concerning a Pakistan scientist's allegation that Pakistan provided nuclear technology to China.

    As a member of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, China has always strictly abided by its international obligation on the non-proliferation issue, she said.
