Foreign ministers of China, Japan, ROK to meet in Shanghai

    BEIJING, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- The third meeting of foreign ministers of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) is to be held in Shanghai on Sept. 28, Foreign Ministry spokesperson JiangYu said at a press conference Tuesday.

    Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi will chair the meeting, attended by his Japanese and ROK counterparts Okada Katsuya and Yu Myung Hwan.

    They are expected to exchange views on boosting cooperation, preparation for the second tripartite summit of the three countries, and other regional and international issues, Jiang said.

    The first tripartite summit of China, Japan and the ROK was held in Fukuoka, Japan on Dec. 13 of 2008.
