BEIRUT, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese military investigative judge started interrogations with five citizens who are suspected of illegitimate Internet connection with Israel, the local Daily Star reported Wednesday.
Lebanese Army Intelligence Services arrested the five Lebanese citizens on Sept. 8 on suspicion of illegitimate Internet transmission from an Internet station in Barouk, south of Beirut, to northern Israeli city of Haifa.
The station's owner and an employee of Lebanese Telecommunications Ministry were among the arrested.
Lebanon still considers itself at war with Israel and any kind of contact with the Jewish country is illegal.
Lebanese army last week raided a newly-established garbage separation plant in Sidon, south of Lebanon, after employees reported that the new machines and equipment were made in Israel.
