RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian Felipe
Massa confirmed on Tuesday that he will have plastic surgery after meeting with
doctors in Miami.
Upon his return to Sao Paulo, Massa said that he was
quite satisfied with the tests carried out in the United States.
"I am very happy with the success of the tests. After
a minor surgery, I will finally be able to begin some exercise and begin some
training in a kart," said Massa.
"I will take things one step at a time. For now, I am
only concentrated on getting back into shape."
Massa was seen by Professor Stephen Olvey, head of
the Jackson Memorial Hospital Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit in Miami.
Plastic surgery is still to be carried out on the
skull following injuries suffered when Massa was struck on the helmet by a
spring at the Hungaroring.
After a short convalescence Massa will be able to
resume physical work.
