China's vice foreign minister to attend Iran nuclear issue meeting in Germany

    BEIJING, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- China's Vice Foreign Minister He Yafei will join senior diplomats from other five countries to discuss solutions to the Iran nuclear issue.

    "He will lead a Chinese delegation to the meeting in Frankfurt, Germany on Wednesday," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu told a regular news briefing on Tuesday.

    The meeting referred to a gathering of senior diplomats from China, the United States, Russia, France, Britain and Germany.

    "China would like to make efforts with other parties to push for resumption of dialogue and negotiations at an early date for a comprehensive, durable and proper solution to the Iran nuclear issue," Jiang said.
