China's A/H1N1 vaccine set for final experts approval

    BEIJING, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- China's State Food and Drug Administration will hold an experts certification meeting at 2 p.m. on Monday, to test the reliability of its A/H1N1 vaccine, according to a news report from China Central Television (CCTV) on Monday morning.

    The vaccine has already finished clinical trials, and the test result will be released at 5 p.m.. If safe, the vaccine will be formally released for use on people, the report said.

    The meeting will also invite 15 citizens and 20 media, and they could put forward their concerns over the new vaccine at the meeting, the report said.

    As of last Friday, the Chinese mainland reported 3,398 cases ofA/H1N1 flu, with no confirmed deaths.
