TEGUCIGALPA, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Honduran
anti-bomb police on Thursday disarmed an explosive device inside a car outside
two buildings of public institutions in Tegucigalpa, the police said.
Police found inside the car two gas cylinders, two
fuel gallons, one fuel bottle, other burning materials, and a programmed clock,
police spokesman Orlin Cerrato told Xinhua, adding that they were connected to
the car's ignition system.
A security guard that saw an unknown parked car and
called the police, he said.
They were going to burn the car so that the explosion
would damage the buildings, he added.
The car was in front of the buildings of Technical
Secretariat of International Cooperation and the National Program of Sustainable
Rural Development.
The June 28 coup that ousted the President Manuel
Zelaya provoked tensions in Honduras, as Zelaya's supporters staged protests
demanding his return to power.
