RAMALLAH, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Palestinian
National Authority (PNA) on Thursday reiterated that it would not accept any
solution offer if Israel does not end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian
territories.
"We need a full solution and a complete withdrawal,
including Jerusalem, to reach a comprehensive peace deal," said Nabil Abu
Rdineh, spokesman for president Mahmoud Abbas.
The Palestinians work to build their statehood in the
Gaza Strip, the West Bank and East Jerusalem in accordance with international
resolutions.
This means that the Palestinian leadership rejects
any proposal that calls for a statehood with provisional borders; there will be
no Palestinian to give up Jerusalem, Palestine and the future of the people,
added Abu Rdineh.
His remarks followed Israeli reports that the U.S.
administration was studying an old plan calling for a Palestinian statehood and
setting up timetables for resolving all final-status issues, including Jerusalem
and the Palestinian refugees. The plan was reportedly drawn up by Israeli
president Shimon Peres.
Peace talks between Israel and the PNA are stalled
due to the Jewish settlement activities in the West Bank and East Jerusalem and
Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu's refusal to endorse a Palestinian
statehood alongside Israel.
