SANTIAGO, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Chilean President Michelle Bachelet and her Salvadorian counterpart Mauricio Funes on Tuesday condemned the June 28 coup that ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya.

After signing a cooperation agreement, Bachelet and Funes said they shared rejection and condemnation of the Honduran coup.

They also said they supported the work of the delegation of foreign ministers headed by the Organization of American States Secretary General Jose Miguel Insulza, as well as the mediation done by Costa Rican President Oscar Arias in order to bring the crisis in Honduras to an end.

Funes arrived in Santiago on Tuesday morning for his first official visit abroad since he took office on June 1.
