Two powerful explosions rock
Baghdad
BAGHDAD, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Two powerful
explosions rocked central Baghdad on Wednesday as plumes of smoke could be seen
rising above the area near the heavily fortified Green Zone, said witnesses.

government building in front of the al-Rasheed Hotel at the edge of the Green
Zone, which houses some Iraqi government offices and foreign embassies,
including a U.S. one. Full story
