TOKYO, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- A woman, who was found
dead in her apartment in the city of Shizuoka on Tuesday, will be recognized as
a victim of the magnitude 6.5 earthquake that jolted the central Japanese
prefecture and its vicinity earlier that day, Kyodo News quoted local police as
saying Wednesday.
The body of the 43-year-old woman was recovered from
beneath a pile of books, according to the police.
The quake damaged almost 5,000 houses in Shizuoka
Prefecture and injured more than 120 people.
