PARIS, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Plane maker Airbus said Friday that it has
completed deliveries of 288 aircraft in the first seven months of 2009,
including four A380 superjumbos, local media reported.
The total number of orders during the period from January to July was 118,
after cancellation or postponements.
Airbus has set goal to achieve 300 new orders for this year. Its parent
company, European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS), expected Airbus
to deliver the same number of aircraft as 483 in 2008.
Boeing, Airbus' rival, has delivered 279 aircraft this year, including 216
short-haul 737s.
