SANTIAGO, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- The number of A/H1N1 flu deaths in Chile has
risen to 104, and the confirmed cases have increased to 12,030, the Health
Ministry reported on Thursday.
The Santiago Metropolitan Region has reported the largest number of
A/H1N1-related deaths, which was followed by Valparaiso and Los Lagos.
"A clear decreasing tendency in the number of cases can bee seen," the
ministry said in a statement.
Among the confirmed cases, 1,126 have been hospitalized, it added.
AS of July 26, Chilean authorities had given 629,410 antiviral treatments
to flu patients in the country.
