MEXICO CITY, July 31 (Xinhua) -- Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa
on Friday urged the reconciliation between the Honduran interim government and
ousted President Manuel Zelaya.
The reconciliation between the two sides is for the good of all the
Honduran people, Espinosa told a local radio station.
The interim government has to realize that isolation is not an option, she
said, adding that "it has to modify its position and allow the return to power
of the ousted president."
Espinosa said leaders attending the 11th Tuxtla Summit of Dialogue and
Agreement Mechanism on Wednesday condemned the Honduran coup which ousted Zelaya
in June, and expressed their conviction that dialogue is the only way to solve
the crisis.
She also said mediator Costa Rican President Oscar Arias' reconciliation
plan would allow democratic order to be restored in Honduras through Zelaya's
return to power.
