MEXICO CITY, July 31 (Xinhua) -- A fire that broke out Friday morning at a
refinery of Mexico's state-owned oil company Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex) has
been brought under control, said the company.
The fire was caused by a gas leakage in the "Lazaro Cardenas" refinery in
Mexico's east-central Veracruz state, Pemex reported.
Staffs were swiftly evacuated after the fire erupted around 5:50 a.m. (1050
GMT).
Pemex said the fire was brought under control immediately, without causing
damages to facilities or the environment.
