KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 (Xinhua) -- A man died of A/H1N1 flu on Sunday in a
private hospital in Subang Jaya in the Selangor state near here, the second
death related to the epidemic, Malaysia's national news agency Bernama reported
on Monday.
The man, who has been treated in the hospital since July 16, died at 12:35
p.m. on Sunday, Bernama said.
The country reported the first death related to A/H1N1 flu on July 23 when
a 30-year-old Indonesian student, who was a confirmed patient of the flu, died
from cardiac disease.
The Malaysian Health Ministry reported 49 new cases of A/H1N1 flu on
Monday, who were all locally transmitted cases.
The ministry said Malaysia has 1,124 A/H1N1 flu cases, with 574imported
ones and 550 locally transmitted ones.
